All our houses will be decorated with a Christmas tree and an understated level of good quality decorations. Our recommended chef, Lucy, will be available to provide you with ready prepared meals to just pop in the oven when you are ready, or to provide a more extensive private dinner party with chef and waitress. Imagine the joy of not having to prepare and cater for your extended family and friends; to sit back, relax and be pampered yourself for once!
Try an exhilarating walk along the coastal path or paddle in the sea on Christmas Day. All that bracing, fresh sea air makes a family walk so enjoyable (you can always leave the recalcitrant ones behind to do the washing up), and after a few days you will feel so relaxed and unwound that you will wonder what all the fuss and stress of Christmas is all about.
Even though it is winter time there is still so much to see and do. Join the Bude Surf Life Saving Club for their Christmas Day dip – no wet suits allowed – or just watch the foolhardy braves enter the water and join in with the punch and mince pies afterwards. Try a spot of horse riding across the Downs or for the more energetic there is an excellent mountain boarding centre close by.
Trying to get a slightly different Christmas present for that impossible person – how about a morning’s tank driving, hot air balloon trip or even a helicopter ride? The Eden Project, Tate Gallery and Plymouth Aquarium are all within a short drive of Bude and provide hours of endless entertainment for all ages.
There are numerous restaurants in the town offering excellent meals at very reasonable prices, and coupled with our Home and Away Chef service you should be able to enjoy Christmas and New Year for once without all the hassle of constant cooking and feeding of the masses.
